Blue and Gold Banquet!

Blue and Gold Banquet!

Lake City Cub Scouts celebrated their 69th year of being register as Pack 86. We all gathered at the Falmouth School around 5pm. The Color Guard did a great job on our opening ceremony. With less than 2 hours worth of practice, Matthew Utecht, (while holding a rifle) gave all the commands to lead this opening Flag Ceremony. We also had Jaden Blood (American Flag), Colton Nethaway (Michigan Flag), Dustin McLain (Rifle), Keegan Baldwin (Rifle), and Dylan Fitzgerald. These Cub Scouts are only 10-11yrs old. But they had discipline, honor, and loyalty towards what they were doing for our banquet and to their country's Flag. "I Thank You! Sgt. Nethaway USMC"

At the Blue and Gold Banquet the boys and their families learn the history how the Cub Scouts began here in America. We had an amazing face painting ceremony, For the hard work and accomplishments the boys had to do to get their ranks. First Ashlie Henneman (Tigers Leader) Lead her Bobcats up to receive the symbol of the Tiger (A orange mark on each cheek) and they earned their Tiger Rank. Second Ken Payne (Wolf Leader) Lead his Tigers up to receive the symbol of the Wolf (A yellow mark on each cheek) and they earned their Wolf Rank. Third Melissa McLain (Bears Leader)  Lead her Wolves up to receive the symbol of the Bear (A blue mark centered top to bottom on the face) and they are one requirement away from earning their Bear Rank. Fourth Tony Baldwin (Webelos Leader) was unable to make it, so his wife Leslie Baldwin lead the Bears up to receive the symbol of the Webelos (A green mark on each cheek) They also were one requirement away from earning their Webelos Rank.

Arrow of Light! The highest award possible to earn in the Cub Scouting program. Dannette Utecht (Webelos II Leader) Lead Her Webelos up to receive a certificate of finishing all the requirements needed to get the Arrow of Light. They were also given their Arrow of Light badges. This is the only badge they can take with them to the Boy Scouts of America. Arrow Of Light holder are Jaden Blood, Dustin McLain, and Matthew Utecht. Congratulation's New Boy Scouts of Troop 40.
I would personal like to add a note that if I ever needed any help on coming up with a skit or song, making everyone laugh or just picking up trash. These boys were always there to help.
Thank You!

I would like to thank all of the Leaders and Parents and our charter organization, Missaukee County Conservation Club.
